KangarooDeFi Overview

KangarooDeFi is an oracle-free, AMM-powered sentiment market. You do not bet on who wins. You trade tokens that measure what the crowd believes — and prices form entirely through on-chain liquidity, with no external oracle, no winner pool, and no forced settlement.

Oracle-Free

No external data feed. Markets close on a schedule and archive final sentiment — no oracle dependency, ever.

Dual Liquidity

Virtual KUSD seeds equal initial depth. Backed KUSD from real deposits defines actual exit capacity. The two are always tracked separately.

Hardened Risk Controls

25% max price impact, 50% virtual-seed buy cap, and optional trade cooldowns bound single-actor displacement on-chain.

What It Is

KangarooDeFi is an oracle-free automated market maker for tokenized collective sentiment. Every market deploys one ERC-20 answer token and one constant-product AMM pair per answer. Prices shift as participants buy and sell those tokens using KUSD, the protocol's USDT-backed stablecoin.

Unlike traditional prediction markets that resolve to a single correct answer, KangarooDeFi closes markets by archiving their final reserve state. Each answer pool's remaining backed KUSD is redeemable pro-rata by token holders — there is no winner-takes-loser-pool distribution, no oracle dependency, and no settlement date risk.

  • A market defines a topic, a question, and 2–5 answer options.
  • Each answer gets its own ERC-20 sentiment token and a KUSD/answer AMM pair.
  • Trading is open between the market's start time and end time.
  • After end time, anyone can close the market and lock in the final sentiment state.
  • Holders of any answer token redeem their proportional share of that answer pool's real KUSD.

The Core Difference from Prediction Markets

Prediction markets transfer value from wrong participants to right participants via oracle settlement. KangarooDeFi transfers no value across answers. Each answer pool is self-contained: the KUSD that enters pool A stays in pool A. Closing the market burns the virtual liquidity seed and returns the remaining real KUSD to answer-A token holders.

Key framing

KangarooDeFi prices are demand-weighted sentiment pressure, not calibrated event probabilities. A price of 0.70 on "Yes" means the crowd has pushed 70% of relative demand into that answer — not that the event has a 70% chance of occurring.

  • No oracle. Markets close based on time, not on external data feeds.
  • No redistribution. KUSD in an answer pool belongs to that answer's token holders only.
  • No settlement risk. The protocol cannot freeze funds waiting for an oracle to respond.
  • No loser pool. Participants on any answer can redeem their pro-rata backed KUSD at market close.

Protocol Stack

KangarooDeFi is built from six specialized smart contracts deployed on BNB Chain.

  • KangarooMarketRouter — central orchestrator: creates markets, manages pools, routes buys, closes markets, settles redemptions.
  • KangarooKSwap — controlled sell route: executes answer-token → KUSD swaps while enforcing backed-exit accounting.
  • KangarooUSD (KUSD) — USDT-backed wrapper with separate virtual and backed supply tracking.
  • KangarooSentimentToken — per-answer ERC-20 with controlled transfer path (router/kswap/pair only).
  • KangarooSeriesManager — creates recurring market series on a fixed interval schedule.
  • KangarooCreatorRegistry — on-chain creator profiles, stats, follower graph, and fee-tier overrides.
  • KangarooBadge — non-transferable (soulbound) ERC-1155 badge system for Creators, Traders, and Keepers.
