What Is a Series?
A series is a creator-defined recurring market template: same topic, same question template, same answer labels, same fee, repeating at a fixed interval. The KangarooSeriesManager contract stores the series configuration and spawns individual markets on demand.
Each round of a series is an independent on-chain market with its own marketId, tokens, pairs, and liquidity. Sentiment from round 3 does not carry over to round 4. Each round starts fresh from equal weights.
Series Parameters
- topic — category label, same for all rounds.
- questionTemplate — the question text (may contain round-index placeholders).
- answers — fixed answer labels, used for all rounds.
- firstStartTime — when the first round begins.
- interval — seconds between rounds; must be between minMarketDuration and maxMarketDuration (5 min–90 days).
- creatorFeeBps — fee applied to every sell across all rounds.
- virtualLiquidityKusd — virtual seed for each round's markets.
After a series exists, call createNextRound(seriesId) on SeriesManager. This computes startTime and endTime for the next round, calls createMarketForSeries on the router, and increments the round index.
Series Strategy
Recurring series build creator credibility over time. Each round of "Weekly BNB Price Sentiment" with consistent resolution history trains an audience to return every week. Follower count on the series grows as subscribers accumulate.
- Daily: use for fast-moving narrative topics (e.g., intraday crypto sentiment).
- Weekly: use for trend tracking and audience-building (e.g., project ecosystem health).
- Monthly: use for slow narratives or long-form conviction (e.g., regulatory outlook).
Following a Series
Any wallet can call followSeries(seriesId) on KangarooCreatorRegistry. This increments the series follower count and signals intent to participate in future rounds. Unfollow with unfollowSeries(seriesId).
